BOOGIE AND HIS NEW TOY

So we decided to go buy our lovely new pet a “lovely new toy”. Not so lovely, giving that the category of the toy is “hunting”. Well, we thought he’d have fun with it, since he keeps jumping on me and my husband at night trying his best to bite our toes under the blanket.

Turns out he liked it a lot and played with it till he was tired. Which works for our toes’ sake! Yay!
Now he divides his attention between hunting the mouse and hunting our toes. I’d say it’s a good progress. Wouldn’t you?

COURTNEY & CORY { THE SWEET COUNTRY WEDDING }

It was a joy to be Courtney and Cory’s wedding photographer. I loved the romantic country feel on all the details.
When we just got there, it started pouring and I really thought we were going to have to stay under the tent the whole time.
After all the water, wind and muddy shoes, the weather simply cleared out, and 30 minutes after that it looked like it hadn’t even rained! It was a blessing for them, and it was for sure, a blessing for me and the thought of not being able to take their photos on the beautiful field they had.

It ended up like we all wished. Perfect.

I had a hard time picking a favorite from the whole set, but I have to say that the photo of the rings is one of my favorite, for sure.

Courtney was a beautiful {vintage} bride that, after being so nervous when she was getting ready, was all smiles and happiness. And so was her groom.

Hooray to wedding and to photographing them. It is for sure a big delight.

BLACKWATER BAND {SNEAK PEEK}

There’s a fun band to photograph, “The Blackwater Band”. Under the hot (very hot) sunny day of Tulsa, they still managed to find a joke and a smile, even though we were all sweaty and ready to go home for a cold shower.

Funny thing is, exactly one day after the shoot, it cools down so much. But, I guess I should’ve been used to mother-nature making fun of me, that’s how it’s always been.
Not that I’m complaining, I welcome the open-window nights! I SO do.

PRETTY MISS KELLY {BOUDOIR}

A while ago I had the pleasure to give one of my best friends a Boudoir session. And I have to say that I had a really good time shooting it.
First, because I knew she had never done something like that for herself, and second, because it made her feel great that she actually did it.
I really like how the photos came out, so delicate and sexy.
I know I’ll be doing some more Boudoir, it’s a fun thing to help women feel better about themselves and their bodies.

IVAN & RENATA {"HAPPY TO BE MARRIED" SESSION}

Renata & Ivan were a fun and romantic couple to photograph.
Well, my thought is that, in the end, all that matters is love.
It doesn’t matter how bad a situation can be, my husband is always there for me, and when I don’t even know why I am crying, his shoulder is there, to comfort me. EVERY time.
Everybody in our lives are important. Friends, Family, People you are getting to know better. But we should value the person that is by our side, that we share a bed and dreams with. Because that person will go to the end of the world with you.
So today’s post goes for love and happy relationships. Cause they are rare to find.

FIND SOME TIME TO…

Why is it that when you have free time, you have so much that it even messes with your head? And when you are busy, you ARE busy?
All I know is that things have been happening very fast. Photoshoots, a lot of time editing, going to shows that the husband is playing, painting, organizing, packing, going to Dallas and back, website… and some other things.
Today I decided to stay home while the husband went out to play a show. Because I needed time to be a wife, and take care of someone that always takes good care of me.
I unpacked all of our stuff, cleaned our bedroom, his desk, and everything that could shine as soon as he comes back.
I took some time to make a list of things I should do for myself, and one by one I crossed them out. My nails are done, eyebrows, toe nails… my list also had a big “eat a salad” on it. Which I did. Indeed.
I am not complaining about being so busy, I kinda like it. Specially because all this craziness comes from chasing my dreams and doing what I love. God has been really good to me. As always.
Now I just have to learn how to divide my time in being a photographer, editing photos, being a wife and being a woman. Shouldn’t be too hard.
Anyway, I might overdo “being a good wife” and make a PB&J for when the husband comes back.
I’ll post photos from the last photoshoot soon!

AIN’T LIFE GRAND?

My morning was a bit crazy, but a good crazy.
The night before this photo I had told my husband that I’ve never watched the sunrise and that I would love to watch it.
So at about 5 or 6 in the morning he said “Get dressed.”.
Well, I did, and still half asleep we left the house, stopped at the Daylight Donuts, he came back with a white bag, not letting me peek in.
So we headed to a high spot on a park, climbed up the grass, he put the towel down, set the food and our drinks, and invited me to watch my first sunrise.
What can I say? I am a lucky woman.
And I will carry that moment in my heart forever.

SUNNY DAY

I am not a big summer fan, I guess it’s because I am so white that if I start enjoying the heat more than I should, I get all red. And I hate the discomfort of being hot and sweaty. But, one thing is for sure, the things we can photograph when everything gets warmer makes it all worth.
I love the little ant on this one. I just love details.
I think most of us are so busy with big things that we forget about the details.
So I dedicate this post to paying attention on details of life. I will do the very same.

Eu adoro a formiguinha nessa foto. Eu amo detalhes.
Eu acho que a maioria das pessoas estão tão ocupadas com as coisas maiores que elas se esquecem de prestar atenção em detalhes.
Então eu dedico esse post a prestar atenção nos detalhes da vida. E eu farei exatamente o mesmo.
